Cancer Support Suffolk

The Cancer Support and Information Centre at Ipswich Hospital opened on 21 October 2004.

Its creation was a result of the vision of one of the Consultants at Ipswich Hospital,  Dr John Le Vay.

He set up a local charity – Cancer Support Suffolk (previously known as Cancer Campaign in Suffolk) - and with the help of generous local people, raised enough money to build the Centre.

Since opening, the Centre has provided cancer support, information, practical advice, emotional support and a variety of supportive and educational opportunities to an increasing number of people each month both from within the hospital and the wider local community.

The Ipswich Cancer Wellbeing and Information Centre (formerly the John Le Vay Cancer Support and Information Centre) is very grateful to Cancer Support Suffolk for continuing to part-fund counselling and provide all the funding for complementary therapy.
